How to use Foracort 200

Follow your doctor's instructions for dosage and frequency.

• Shake the inhaler well before each use.
• Breathe out fully away from the mouthpiece.
• Put the mouthpiece in your mouth and seal your lips around it.
• As you begin to inhale slowly and deeply through your mouth, press down on the canister.
• Continue to inhale until your lungs feel full, then hold your breath for about 10 seconds.
• Remove the inhaler and breathe out gently.
• Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after use to prevent oral thrush (a fungal infection) and other side effects. 

Side effects

Common side effects can include: 

• Headache
• Throat irritation
• Fungal infections in the mouth (oral thrush)
• Cough
• Nausea and stomach discomfort
• Tremors or palpitations (due to the formoterol)
