Zosert tablets contain Sertraline 50 mg which is used in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorder, phobia, post traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Zosert 50 mg Tablet is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain. This improves mood and physical symptoms in depression and relieves symptoms of panic and obsessive disorders. It is a controlled drug in Kenya and a valid prescription from a registered doctor is required to obtain the prescribed doses.

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zosert 50 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning:

Zosert 50 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol. Zosert 50 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy and lactation. Zosert 50 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment is recommended. It should be used with caution in liver disease.
