VAT 69 WHISKY 750ML

Sir William Sanderson, a liquor manufacturer from Leith, Scotland, wanted to focus on one blend that would epitomise the House of Sanderson and so in 1882 nearly a hundred of his blends were each stored in separate numbered casks. He then invited a number of experts and friends to sample each blend and to select the one which was in their opinion the ideal Scotch Whisky blend. The choice was unanimous and the number of the vat was 69, hence the name of this whisky. VAT 69 is a blended Scotch with a light, very fresh and slightly spicy taste profile that includes almonds, pears, caramel and spice: blended using forty different malt and grain whiskies, this is a smooth, balanced spirit and a perennial favourite.40%
